Alex Assali, a Syrian refugee, has been feeding homeless people in Berlin as a ‘thank you’ gesture for granting him asylum. Every Sunday, Assali, who fled to Germany in 2007, set up a stall outside Berlin’s Alexanderplatz and provided around 100 hot meals to the homeless.
