Anis, a 21-year old undocumented immigrant from Tunisia residing in France, noticed a burnt smell in his building. He then realized the smoke emerged from inside an apartment in which a 96 year-old woman in a wheelchair was trapped. Anis had called for help which saved the woman’s life. A neighbor who heard about the story had contacted the authorities and requested the legalization of Anis’ status.
