Parsons student designs thesis collection to help Syrian refugees

Angela Luna, a Parsons Fashion Design senior, designed her senior thesis collection to address the plight of Syrian refugees embarking on perilous journeys in search for safety. Luna’s collection consists of seven outerwear pieces that can transform into equipment such as full size tent, a sleeping bag,  an inflatable life vest garment, an adjustable child carrier vest, and a reversible reflective/camouflage jacket. Luna intends to utilize revenue garnered from sales in the US in order to streamline the designs and donate them to refugees fleeing Syria.
